Guys,
I need a new hotel. I used to stay at the Clarion, but their sheets are smaller than the beds, and i just got fed up with waking up laying on a bare mattress.
So i moved to Sleep Inn, and had an arrangement for no chica fees, and they canceled that arrangement after 2 years for some reason (I'm good for about 100 rooms(nites)/year between me and my clients)
Anyway, I need a place that I can say "I'm staying at "X"" and not have it come back to bite me. So HDR is out, ZB is out, Sportsman's is out.
It needs to be a regular hotel, that is Chica friendly. I'm not bargain hunting.
thanks,

Why not try the Presidente? It seems to suit your needs.

The Presidente is booked, but that is a very good idea.

Stay at The Don Carlos which is not chica friendly and sneak accross the street to NF or 2 blocks down the street to ZB. For dessert after dinner you could visit Idem. Amistad might also work it has a former reputation as a family eco traveler hotel. Just a thought.

The presidente is remodling in September but otherwise would fit your needs well. I was there two weeks ago and it seems to me that there is more first and last night eco tourist trade than in the past.It is a lot of fun to me to get on the elevator with a hot 22 year old chica and see the eco husband trying not to eyeball my girl while his fat gringa wife looks on with disgust.

YOU HAD SHEETS @ Clarion.....:shock::shock:
Where they clean??????

Hee Hee Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Now where was I.....

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Hotels in SJ .....

Try across the street from the Prez....Try the Balmoral Hotel. I stayed with the Sprtatt there for 9 days and had no problem with chica fees... :?

OR ANY OTHER PROBLEMS EITHER....

I booked online for two people at about $75.00 a night.
If you stay there, book the deluxe Ecom. room... The standard is over the street and small...The deluxe is much larger and had refig. in it.

I had a 4th floor room double on the inside. They have rooms over looking the street, but I would get an inside upper floor room..

The rooms are going for 75-80 today, but if you search you should get one a little cheaper.. I liked the place.

Amistad is full of Eco tourists.

Santo Tomas is DEF. not chica friendly, but very nice, and you're .5 blocks from ZB.

There's always the Holiday Inn, with the $40 chica fee.

The Best Western, if you don't mind the neighborhood.

Don Carlos is nice.

There's the Crowne Plaza in Sabana.

There's the marriott (courtyard).

There's that little one across the street from Casa Vino (not Don Carlos, but I forgot the name... anyone?)

There's Hemmingway's, at least I think it's a hotel, never gone in.

And, quite honestly, there's Freebird...

Hotel La Amistad is not a "monger" hotel but it is chica friendly, has a good free breakfast and great mattresses (space-age foam). You will pay less than Balmoral or Clarion and they have wireless and wired internet, one block from Sportsman's Lodge and about a buck cab ride to HDR. Their new bar/restaurant is scheduled to open mid-August.
