I will be staying at Sportsman Aug 29 to sept2, and like to get some coke/chips and beer for my room is there any small store near bye? Will be getting in from David at 4:30 then I may have a doc apt at 6, so I get to hotel well after dark ( 7pm) and I have never been in this neigbor hood before ( always had a hard time getting out of BM) and if possible I do want to go looking after dark for a store when I could be stting in the Bar have a beer/ so any directions to make a quick 15 minute out and back run for stuff>

Check the map on the opening page. Your options are Max X Menos on Avenida Central just up the street from Costa Del Sol or Auto Mercado at the corner of Calle 3 and Avenida 3. Both are about the same distance from SL.

Depending on your choice of transportation to the hotel, you can ask the driver to stop at either location for a little propina. This has worked for me upon arrival many times.

The Sportsmens Lodge also has a pretty well stocked mini bar with drinks and snacks in each room. However, you would be able to save some money by buying them from an outside store.

Also, cigarettes and soft drinks to go are available at the little restaurant just across from the Hotel Amistad. From the SL, turn left to the first intersection, then right two blocks. It's on your right near the intersection of avenida 11 and calle 17.
