Okay, the name sounds very Californian, but the place is a cool base of ops and they deserve a review. I think we paid about 68 bucks a night for a room with a kitchenete, cable color TV, deck with hammock, small pool, beach towels, and a of course the suicide shower, that actually worked pretty well. The place is run by a gringo surfer dude, named Trevor, who we took to calling Travis as we told him we were from Texas and call all people we like the names of Texas heros. Anyway, it took the joke well and turned out to be a pretty good manager. The place is currently for sale for some of you would be hotel owers and here is a link to the site. The only minor downside is the place is about 500 meters from the beach on the main road.

This hotel, opened in '04, has gotten good reviews in Tripadvisor.com.
