I checked out the list of hotels in the newbie section. The Nuevo Johnson is much cheaper ($15 a night). Anyone have experiences to share on this hotel?

It is a budget place, in not so great a neighborhood, with few amenities. Those that stay there like it but they will be the first to tell you that it isn't for everyone.

I checked out the hotel one day walking around the mercado. Personally I couldn't stay there even if it was for free. Now I have stayed at the Morazon and liked it. Unless you are extremely financially challenged I would suggest Morazon or Hotel Royal Dutch(just a block away from Hotel Neuvo Johnson) at $40 a night. Just my humble opinion :idea:

i'd stay at freebird ANYDAY over either of those...

IMHO - If you are so strap for cash that you need to stay at the NJ or Asia, wait until you got enough money and stay at one of the nicer hotels. I will recommend La Amistad.

You really diminish your chance of GFE or BBBJ went you stay at very low budget hotels. It is all about the presentation, BABY. Many chicas will not even follow you to some of these places or lower their prices. On the long run, any savings might fly out the window with the cheaper hotels. My $.02.

Huh? They don't care where you stay. They only care about the money at the end. Yeah, a nicer place to take a shower and such is a bonus, but it is flat out about the money. Places like Hotel Asia would not exist if it was all about impressing the chicas.

I agree. It is just the increase odds and willingness of the girls giving you the little extras. That’s all.
