Dude, you have got to be one of the most anal members we have had on CRT in a long time. You have been on this board less than 3 weeks and you've come up with more off the wall questions than anyone in the almost 5 years of this board's existance.

There are at least 100 and sometimes 200 girls at the Del Rey. There are another 200 working at massage parlors and strip clubs. Why do you need to tip some guy $10 to call a girl? If you're looking for a student hit the discos or the malls or the universities but for your first trip I think you might be better off sticking with the gulch.

I know you're excited but here's a suggestion: CALM THE Phuck DOWN. Here's all you need to be concerned with:

1. Got a passport?
2. Got a plane reservation?
3. Got a hotel reservation?

If you became a CRT VIP you could download the map. Then you would really be set but other than that all I can say is the rest will all come together when you get there, which I hope comes soon.

What Uncle Wit is trying to tell you is to chill. Seriously, you are basing your experiences on what you know of the US. The rules are different in Costa Rica. You have these expectations and the reality is CR isn't going to meet them.

Skip the crap with the hotel, truck your happy ass to the Hotel Del Rey, walk in and likely never leave. That is what your first trip is going to be like. You may end up in ZB or NF and maybe Idem, but that is it. All the girls in the Del Rey are independent, they don't work they. When you walk in with that fresh to the gultch smell they are going to circle you like sharks with the scent of blood in the water. You will be weak and will be an easy score of $100. There is no shame in this. We all did it at least once. Hell, I forgot the exchange rate so I just started handing out 10,000 colones notes until she said enough.

So don't plan on anything other than getting your brains phucked out and relax and enjoy. It will be the best trip of your life if you just take the attitude of whatever happens happens!

IMHO, don't take a girl out of town on your first trip. It is a recipe for disaster.

That sweet young thing that just sucked you dry, and rocked your world the night before like you were a rock star, may make your ex look like Florence Nightingale unless you do everything she wants, and buy everything she wants while you're gone. You only think you've seen pouting before. That is if she doesn't turn into the psycho b*tch from hell. Also make sure that wherever hotel you stay in has cartoons so she can be entertained in the afternoon.

If you choose to do this anyway, and she turns into psycho b*tch from hell, just remember that CR has an excellent bus system. Put her sweet young a** on the next one back to San Jose.

Don't go to Arenal or Tabacon expecting to see the volcano.. it's only visible a few weeks out of the year, it's shrouded in clouds pretty much the rest of the time.

Also, don't listen to what the others have said.. if you want to get away by yourself, there's no reason not to find a chica to go with you. Just be careful, and make sure both your expectations are well defined.
