I've been a loyal and frequent traveler on TACA so much so that i have mileage for 2 free tickets to Central America. However, I have been trying for 3 days with many phone calls and e-mails and I can't seem to get my ticket. There always is one glych or another on their end. Anyone else have any problems cashing in their miles with TACA? I will try again tomorrow and update.

Did you try doing it online? Unless you speak Spanish, Taca telephone customer service reps are a waste of time.

-Log into your Taca account
-Drag your mouse over the Frequent Flyer tab and then to Use your miles and Online Redemption

There you can easily redeem miles.

We have a local Taca office less than two miles away, so I've usually gone there in person, as I'm often deciding how to use the miles from a variety of different options and dates. But last time I did it on-line as Orange noted and it was no problem - even purchased the few more miles I needed to book a trip on-line.

Finally got it after 4 phone calls today and 2 hours on the phone. problem was with taxes and 2 carriers, TACA and LACSA even though they are same. I did try on-line many times but it didn't work either. anyway, i now have my ticket and they have a glych to work on.
