Keep in mind, IIRC, AA just instituted a new policy where you are charged $15 for every piece of checked luggage. I don't know if it has gone into effect yet or not.

True - but as I understand it, this new policy is ONLY for domestic flights. It shouldn't affect flights to SJO.
