Claritas is very basic. About what you would expect for the price. If the construction next door is complete (its been ongoing for 2 years) its a cool little place. The bar & restraunt make up for any short commings of the hotel.

Has anyone stayed at the Blue Palms hotel in Jaco? My merry band of mongers and I are looking at alternatives to the Copa and one of them suggested the Blue Palms. The website makes it look like a palace, and the rates are low, meaning more $$$ for mongering. Any thoughts anyone?

Canciones Del Mar...just there last week. Remodeled recently. Chica friendly...an upscale choice at a decent price...and close to the BB

I stayed at the Las 4 Grandes, right next to the Beatle Bar, I mean RIGHT NEXT to, twice, for $50/night this year. Real nice rooms, well, by budget standards, and very new. You cant beat it. It's the whole upper floor of the little strip mall there.

The only drawback is they use a lot of rooms for hourly stays, so they dont have a lot for all-nighters.

I cant find their info online, and my fishing charter guy handled the bookings, so I'll have to get the number.
