The guest/chica fee at the Aurola Holiday Inn at Morazan Park in downtown San Jose is now $70 + tax = $78.

I'm guessing they want to reserve the place for the mainstream/Caravan Tours crowd. Fie on them-I never force myself into a party where I'm only reluctantly tolerated. The hotel isn't all that anyway.

Wow. That's funny. During 2007 Labor Day weekend, my flight was cancelled from SJO to MIA, so AA gave me a voucher for this place, and they were charging a $40 chica fee at the time. Now it's doubled! Can't wait to stay there again!

You found it a good place to stay when the chica fee was $40.00  If that is so why balk at $70.00? It only went from obscene to outrageous.
