Gentlemen, (you too El Silencioso) :o

Will someone please tell me WTF is going on with the fuel / gas prices? This is ridiculous. Enough is enough! They’ve been continually rising for quite some time, but come on! They’re going up every single day, and now I hear economists saying that we’re “NOWHERE NEAR THE TOP YET” ??? This is un-phucking believable! :evil:

Sorry, but I needed to vent. Is anyone else fed up with the way things are going, and our bleak future economic outlook ? I can’t be the only one who’s disgusted with our current state of affairs. :x We’re goin’ to hell in a hand-basket! Phuckin’ A ! BB57…. You got an extra room that I can rent?!?!? :idea:

What does everyone else think? Just make sure that you don’t use the “R” word (recession), because supposedly – we’re not there yet! :roll:

I wont use the r word because its not adequately intense enough to describe the true nature of how bad things are and going to get in the near tem.
The dollar is worth 60 percent less internationally than it was five years ago. Just wait until more nations drop the dollar as the international currency of choice.
The internal combuston engine is 100 year old technology and the ability certainly exists to create alternative engines but it is being suppressed by the massively powerful corporatons.
The housing crisis is a huge swindle of money from the middle class to the banks just like the " energy crisis" in california involving enron and the dot com bubble before it and the savings and loan swindle before that.
The truth is that we live in corporate dictatatorship in the truest sense of the term. Policy is totally set by what will benefit corporate profit marigins.
And the illegal immigrants are taxing our medical system to breaking point. Just wait unitl amnesty comes and all their relatives come over.
There are food riots in thirty countries now.
Just wait because the fun is only beginning. I know many will disagree especially those who just watch cable news and never really analyze what is happening.

As I just booked a flight( the girls need cookies) for $375 out of DFW :shock: I sit here dining on my PB&J with Carnation powdered milk and chips from the Dollar store :oops: I am reading an article by the Associated Press regarding fuel prices :cry:

According to this article :lol: :lol: :lol:

55% of 372 petroleum execs surveyed by KPMG LLP said they think the price of a barrel of crude will drop below $100 by years end

21% believe it will be between $101-$120

9% believe it will remain at current prices ($120 a barrel)

The survey conducted last month included execs from major eerl companies, independent exploradores and one guy known only as OFT(Oil Field Trash) who wished to remain anonymous :)

It went on to ramble about opening the Artic National Wildlife Refuge for drilling, yada yada yada.

Hey get a clue folks, try some renewable sources such as Sun, Wind and Hydro. nah lets jack up the food prices and use corn for additives yeah we can make a billion or so off that one and then give Archer Daniels and Con AG some subsidy $$$$$$ for not growing on the land they bought out of foreclosure from the farmer who got greedy and bit too much off when prices on commodities went thru the roof :roll:

It's a viscious cycle out there amigos, cuiado

Not really. Hundreds of people have invented various water powered engines. I've seen one run myself. It's not that difficult, and some people have come up with some create ways to extract the hydrogen from water.

The problems to bring it to market are huge, though. A lot of the techniques are very maintenance intensive. Some of them don't scale to full scale production.. And then there are the political issues, such as with no more gas, who pays gas tax, and since our roads are funded by gas tax (in large part) money has to come from somewhere.

And yes, big oil certainly doesn't want you to do it either, but they're not likely killing anyone over it. There's far too many other obstacles.

I heard reports today that oil can be expected to hit $200 a barrel by the end of the year ($125 a barrel today by the way HolaB). Speculators are driving the prices higher.

By the way, nearly half of the oil we consume is domestic crude. That's right, we are paying $125 a barrel for our own oil. The oil companies say "we don't set the prices [grin]". How do you think that would go over if people were starving and we refused to sell domestic food at less than imported prices?

In my opinion, the US is in for some violent times ahead. I intend to ride out the storm in warmer climes... 8)

Are you saying that bringing water to the market has huge problems? As far the gas tax goes, since no more gas then there will be more income tax. I know people don't like to hear it, but that is how it would have to be done. As far as oil companies not killing anyone, you don't live in south Louisiana do you?

In 2005 speculators said dowtown Brickel/Miami was going to be the Park Avenue of the South. Guess they were wrong.

The Miller Lite cases at the wholsale club cost the same as they did last year. And premium gas was down a nickel from last week!!!

The thing about gas tax is that it's actually a fair tax. You only pay for the road repairs if you are using it. The more you use it, the more tax you pay.

Income tax for road repair means that people who don't own cars and never use the roads much are penalized. Not something that goes over well, especially in rural areas where the roads are much cheaper to maintain because there is far fewer people using them.

Man I live in a rural area. The town I live in has 800 people in it. The people here will gladly pay a little extra on income tax to make up for a cheaper full. Most people here have to drive 80 to 150 miles a day for work. Now tell me that the benefit is not there for a cheaper fuel than gas.

2nd they say demand is real because not only China and India competing for the fuel but the easy to extract sources are more and more scarce. There is plenty more oil but much deeper and/or more surrounded by rock formations so more expensive to extract. I read even 100 yrs. old pumping units in downtown L.A., Long Beach, Fort Worth etc. are now very active. Even if those small pumpers only yield 1 (one) barrel per day at today's rates almost $3800 gross profit!!!!!!!!

Also now that more OPEC countries reaping the windfall more of their citizens have jobs and income to buy cars and very cheap gas so that hoses rest of us too.

3rd and lastly part of it may be collaboration between 2 or more countries U.S. does not get along with: Iran and Venezuela maybe more.

But the bitter sweetness is they are phucking themselves. Read in newspaper today that Vene. blaming U.S. for lower oil sales hurting their economy but aren't lower sales due to Vene. (a memeber of OPEC) purposely collaborating to keep the supplies low so prices are high? Ha they are phucking themselves!

Sad part is their own people in addition to most of the rest of the world are suffering due to the political fighting.

On an unrelated note the most evil of mankind reflects itself in Myanmar this week when their Govt. refuses to allow foreign aid organisations to enter to help distribute relief aid. Mankind in general most despictable. Only thru grace of God does some good show itself.
