Hi you'll,
I'm trying to find a flight to Santo Domingo. I am airline ticket-challenged. So far I have checked with Delta, they go from Atlanta to Newark with stupid delays. So there must be a better way. What is the best hub to Santo Domingo? From Fort Lauderdale or Miami or somewhere else? What is the best airline from the hub. I believe I can get to the hub, whereever it may be. Can you help me out?

PS
You didn't say where you're coming from but looks like any Spirit connection (especially through FLL) is cheap compared to others.

A lot of people have been following this saga, and are anxiously awaiting the outcome. Spirit's schedule is pretty messed up for the May 1 and May 4th dates I was looking at, but it's prices were real low. American from Charlotte thru Miami turned out rather pricey. Suprisingly, another attempt with Delta yielded a direct flight from Atlanta to Santo Domingo for a very reasonable price. That's weird how searches at different times seem to give such different results.
So now that I've got a ticket, I've got to get the time off! Thanks PacoLoco.

Nice work flying direct on Delta from ATL. They also fly straight into POP from ATL (I think). Living in So. Fla American is great to the DR. Spirit's fares seem to be as high (or higher) as AA to SJO. Spirit's flight times to Santo Domingo are not fot me.

My pal in the midwest finds it cheaper to buy a ticket to FLL, then book the trip to our "destination" with me. By doing this his 2 segment r/t was under $400 SB weekend; it booked direct from his city it would have been around $600.
