I think many who have flown with Spirit (and encountered a problem along the way), would probably prefer to pay full fare on ANOTHER airline.

I've looked at those Spirit fare sales before but it always seems that the sale is TO the location, but you end up paying the full rate for the return flight.

I tried for at least 30 minutes to find the fare. leaving on their days and coming back numerous different days and had no luck finding the 1 cent fares. I called Spirit and they put me on hold and then told me you have to book on line...no problem but could not find the fares. she then told me, "they must be all gone!"

gotta wonder how many seats they had available on the 7/22/08 flight?

Their specials don't last long and hardly can sched. over a wknd. Great if you don't have a regular job though.

That is for sure. I will never fly Spirit again, even if they pay me.

I tried booking the one cent but the offer was over the day after I saw it. Would have had to get to Lauderdale from Sarasota and then pay parking so I'm booked with AA TPA-MIA-SJO for $220 or just over 3010 with the fees added in. Sarasota finally has American Eagle to MIA but that connection would cost me $600 so I'm back to leaving my car parked at my brother's in Tampa.
