The Sportsman's Lodge website hijacked my opening page to their site.
It took me a half hour to figure out how to correct it as I am not a computer nerd.
That pisses me off.

How exactly did they do that?

I do not know, although in truth, I may have done it to myself.

I just do not know.

Anyone else have it happen to them?

Ok, I think I get it now. **Somehow** the SL website wound up as the default page on your web browser, right? I just tried it on IE and Firefox and it didn't change the default page on either one.

You might have a virus or something that takes over your browser...but I'm quite sure it has nothing to do with Sportsmens Lodge unless its just how often you click on their site  . I would just recommend understanding your computer better before blaming a popular website or service provider on CRT. Its frustrating I'm sure, but you might want to run your antivirus updater...if you have one. If you dont, get one. Porn sites especially carry high incidences of causing viruses, popups and other damaging bots on your computer. Not saying you ever look at porn sites  ...but just trying to explain what might have happened.

Speaking as a computer nerd, you likely did it yourself. Unless Bill invested heavily in malware, spyware, or underware :P their site is incapable of doing that. I just tested it on Firefox and IE and neither prompted me for a set as home page or did any of the usual signs of browser hijacking occur. Even did it on two different operating systems, Mac and Windows.

So it's likely you inadvertently set the page to be your home page. If you run into this again, go to tool, internet options, and the first tab that comes up, General, there is a box that says Home Page. Click Use Current, Use Default or Use Blank. I'm a Use Blank guy as that way I don't have to wait for whatever page it set to load.

Cheers!
