Planning on heading down to SJ in three weeks, and just curious what the general concensus is of the presidente these days? Still a good chica friendly place to stay?

Just looking for general opinions - seems like a nice place. But overall I just want to make sure there's no hassle with bringing a girl back from DR? Any 'guest' fee they try to hit you with?

If your planning on staying at the Presidente join as a VIP. The savings on your room will more than pay for your membership fee. You may have trouble finding a room available only 3 weeks out.

No guest fee, there is a chica dress policy, one guest per room policy. A search will give you a lot of info on the Presidente.

Yeah I actually just realized my membership had lapsed and renewed it :-) Is there some specific way to get the room rate discount? Or do you just call and ask for it?

I was looking around wondering the same thing, then I saw this https://costaricaticas.com/vip/discounts.php Says to email them for the discount info. The place looks very nice, maybe they like keeping it a secret or something..lol

Most members either like the place or hate it. Plenty of praise and complaints if you do a search for "dress code"- Search for all terms.

Presidente/SL/HDR usually require a lot of lead time because they are so popular. You might want to try Amistad, Castillo, Morazan. Hotel Freebird has gotten some good reviews but they all seem to be from guys who stayed in the suites. Do not think I have seen one from someone who stayed in the standard room where you have to share bathrooms located on a different floor from your room. It is also non smoking so if you are a smoker that might be a problem.

i was in town a couple of weeks ago and stayed 2 nights at the Pres and 2 nights at SL.
i had absolutely no problem at the presidente, the chicas that i brought to the hotel new the drill and pulled, streched and pinned things together to comply with the dress code.
i don't know if this is a new scam, but on my first night i picked one out of the herd at the BM and headed back to the hotel and without saying a word she walked into a little shop just down the street from the Pres and picked out a top to cover her cleavage, and expected me to pay. the cost was about 9K colones, and because of what she promised to do to me I paid.
We had agreed on $80 and we had a great time, or at least i did, she gave an outstanding BBBJ, then the standard sexo as you would expect, then finished up with BBBJCIM followed by a spit.
when I paid her to leave, I gave her $60 and told her i wasn't going to pay for the top that she had bought. She was PISSED, as I expected, and I was ready with a $10 propina and then everything was better.
Kiss kiss, bye bye.
Saw her 2 days later and she was all over me.
But anyway, no prob at the Pres. the next 2 nights i stayed at SL for the first time and had a great time. i think the best way to describe the differance between the Pres and SL is that the Pres is like staying at a typical hotel and the SL is like staying at someone's house. very friendly, accomodating people, and i was impressed with the available talent. I will definately stay there again.

Try the Hotel Clarion Amon. Do a search for nixon and it will tell you how to book your room. I used to stay at the Presidente and the Clairon comes real close without all of the hassels.
