HI.

I will be in SJO on April 10 for fou nights and currently have a "Large Standard Room" booked...does anyone know if these rooms have airconditioning?

Also, is air-conditioning a MUST during this time of year (1st trip to CR)???

Thansk,

I have stayed at a few places w/out AC in CR in the SJ area. During the dry season, you should not have a problem. I missed the AC somewhat during the rainy season because it seemed like with the hotel windows open it always felt like dampness hanging in the air.

BTW I have not stayed at the Amistad.

Hey Brock,

Yes, the Amistad has A/C, but I would call to make sure that your room has it, if you're concerned.

As San Jose is at 3,800 feet above sea level, the temperatures are usually quite comfortable, even at the height of the dry season.

That being said, A/C is good for removing excess humidity during the rainy season, and for providing white noise to mask intrusive outside noise.
