I was told that a close place near the airport to catch Interbus is the Hampton Inn. When i went to Interbus website I could not find Hampton Inn listed under San Jose. Could someone tell me what it is listed under.

Thanks

It's not under San Jose, it's under Rio Segundo. Then select Hampton Suites.

Are you going to another town in CR directly from the airport?

Thanks Orange. Yes I'm thinking about going straight to Jaco.

There are 2 shuttles daily to Jaco from Hampton.... 8:45am and 3:00pm, you need to be there at least 15 minutes before.

If you plane arrives before 1pm, you should have no problem catching the 3pm shuttle, depending on the immigration line. Jump in a cab and take it to Hampton.

I'd recommend spening one night in SJ, then taking the morning 8am shuttle out of SJ (from your hotel). You'll get there about 11am. This way you will definitely not miss it, if there's a delay with your flight or whatever. And this ensure you get there in the daytime. Trust me, you do not want to be on the road in CR once it gets dark.

The hotel name has changed to Garden Court but a lot of people still call it the Hampton Inn

There are two hotels in that complex. The Hampton Inn and the newer Garden Court Hotel & Casino. Both are owned by Grupo Marta who also own the Best Western Irazu, Best Western Downtown, Best Western Jaco and both the Denny's restaurants in Costa Rica.
