Post subject: | Hotel Freebird Rocks! |
We were referred to Hotel Freebird by friends who visited in November. Our experience at the Hotel and in San Jose surpassed all of the other destinations during our vista to Costa Rica in January. Hotel Freebird is not like any hotel I have EVER stayed at. It is more of a bed and breakfast, without the breakfast, but lots of laughs instead. The owner, Dennis, made it his personal mission to see that we were comfortable, entertained, knew the best places to go (and even took us there!), introduced us to all the other guests, and locals, basically made the visit more fun than any other place Ive stayed. In addition, the room was huge (a suite) and brand new, top quality. We could walk just about anywhere, took cabs at night. Compared to the 3 other resorts we stayed at during our visit to Coast Rica, Hotel Freebird was the friendliest, cleanest, most convenient, and best of all the most fun. One other thing, it was the cheapest too- go figure. |

We decided to stay over an extra night and found Freebird Hotel on the CRT website. Great experience!. Yes, I would call it a B & B, without the breakfast. Dennis has done an excellent job fixing this place up, custom made with the CRT Lifestyle in mind. Best wireless hi-speed in CR, new clean rooms, and best of all, if Dennis doesn't have it, he knows where you can get it! He has the CRT thing down, only like most of us who come to visit as often as we can, he lives it 24/7, 365 days a year. I highly recommend that you check it out. Oh, and the rates were less for the suites than most hotels we have visited charge for regular rooms. A+++! ![]() |

the website looks good but it doesnt mention whether guests are extra I stayed there about two months ago. They do have a guest fee but you might be able to negotiate that. I rather like the place. It is generally clean (but aged) and the staff is friendly. The location is good - with the Gardens restaurant next door and NF stumbling distance away. It is what you pay for (I paid $30 cash per night) so don't expect accomodations on the level with most of the regular hotels in our circle. |
