Anyone know of a direct flight from Orlando to San Jose? MartinAir has stopped their direct flight. Spirit flys from Fort Laurdale to san Jose but getting back into the good old USA is next to impossible. My last trip I flew Spirit and the 2.5 hour flight from San Jose took me 15.5 hours. Customs was horrible, had a jerk cop with a dog, had to pick up my luggage and recheck it to Orlando. Flight was delayed because crew did not show up.

American doesn't have a direct flight and guys on this sites aid they are not much better. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to get on the flight and just fly to your destination withoiut any hassle?

Not a direct flight, but Copa has a flight that stops in Panama (PTY), no plane change either direction (Orlando - San Jose, San Jose - Orlando).
Copa also has other flights through PTY that you do change planes.
At least you can avoid all the BS re-checking bags and going back through security. I sure miss that United non-stop flight out of Dulles (IAD) to San Jose, those were the good ole days.

MartinAir is stopping that direct flight from Orlando to San Jose on March 28th (if you're planning a trip during Feb. or March).

Unfortunately for you and me, No non stops from our cities...I have been bitching about it for 3 years now..

This is your best option by over $100 from what I am seeing. Copa is above $450 for the above route (may be worth it with the problems AA has been having lately).

This one is $273 on the DREADED AA...

What about Orlando Sanford?? Don't they have a lot of charter flights out of there?

Also might be worth it to visit the terminal on and off over a few days and see what flights are departing to where but proly already covered in this post.

Some airports also list on their web-pages where the flights go.

Bummer about that martin air flight from orlando. It was so easy.
I bought a ticket for June back before they discontinued that flight from orbits. They switched it to Miami. I have to buy a ticket to Miami from orlando now. But the original ticket was only 230 bucks. I should still get there for under 400 but the connection and added travel time suck.

I've flown Spirit for 3 return trips now through Ft Lauderdale, Orlando, and Tampa, and never had a problem.

Shrug.

There is a charter flight from orlando/sanford airport once weekly on saturdays. If I remember correctly it flys into Liberia and not San Jose. I am flying MartinAir this month and returning last day they fly back to Orlando in March. I can find out more info if needed on the Sanford charter, PM if necessary.
