I found a great rate for the Parque del Lago on Expedia.com and just thought if anyone had stayed there can provide a review of the place.
How are the rooms?
Do they charge any "Tica" fees?

Parque Del Logo hotel is just off Paseo Colon on Calle 40. It was remodeled about a year ago but I do not know of anyone who has stayed there so have no info.

Most hotels on Expedia, there are a few exceptions. are not chica friendly.

I stay there last year. It is a nice hotel with gated security at night. No chica allow in the Hotel. The room is clean and the breakfast is decent.

said any guest is allowed with proper ID.. $20 plus taxes

was a $20 chica fee... the place was pretty nice and the gated access made it seem secure

less than 10 min taxi ride to the DR... almost all the chicas I met knew it when I said it... none had a problem going there

the free american style breakfast was a nice touch

front desk took care of every request quickly and with a smile and a "con gusto"

the safes are opened with a key (not a code).. you have to request the key ($75 if lost)

mini bar was a life saver for the late night extra sessions

Sounds good, but the $20 chica fee, along with the distance from the gulch, would be the dealbreakers for me.
