In Jaco, on the beach, I liked it.

I stayed three nights...

Sorry to hear about the robbery. I stayed there for 1 night about 2 months ago. Had an oceanfront room, very clean, hot shower, lots of towels etc., good a/c even had a remote control, nice breakfast, poolside rooms around $75 a night, the oceanfront was around $100.00.

I've stayed there. It is further away from the action...but not actually far...everything is really close there. It is across that little bridge though...so I guess it could e considered far.

Anyway, I actually didn't mind that place. It was a last minute choice this past summer. I was second floor parkinglot side. I saw on there website they advertise a $15 fee for "additional guests" ..but the desk is is completely away from where I was staying..no problem...I brought 2 girls back that night.

4 night minimum at Copa????? They can't do this to me. :x Well, I would put in a vote for Canciones Del Mar as an alternative. Cocal looks really nice though. But, from Cocal there will be no walking to and from BB.

i stay there all the time. I have never had a minimum number of nights required. Clean rooms, good location. No hassles from front desk. I am sorry to hear someone was ripped off. NEVER leave anything in your room at ANY hotel in CR if it is not locked in a safe. What happened to that guy at Cocal will happen at every hotel in CR if a Tico sees a chance. I don't mean to sound like a bigot, but in my opinion to trust a Tico, let alone a Tico you don't know is foolish. They will rip you off at any and every given opportunity.
