I have booked the SL, for Feb 10-17. But I need a place for Feb 18, 19, and 20th.

I have been RTFF and want to use a CRT sponsoring hotel. It looks like La Amistad and Clarion Amon Plaza are decent bets.

From what I've read here, it looks like the rooms at Amon are more expensive but discounted deeper? The site looks like $130 but people here are quoting prices like $80. Is that right, or am I missing something?

La Amistad is quoting me $69 per night for a Studio Apartment on the first floor after taxes and discounts ($70, +16% Tax, - 15% CRT = $69.02).

So my question is this: Which one, and why? I'm looking for personal opinions. I'm sure I'll be fine with either, but if you have a preference I'd love to hear your thoughts.

That must be Rm 111 at La Amistad. What's the latest on lobby construction guys?

A Member was gracious and considerate enough to recommend a third floor Suite at La Amistad, which seems like a good deal. But I'll post my hesitation for all to see so you know where I'm coming from because many of you might have had the same suggestion.

3rd Floor Suite with no Stairs

vs.

4000ft elevation
2 Hours of ATV riding, or Rainforest walking
Walking around doing sightseeing
Third shag of the day (for someone used to getting it once a week)
Tres Cervezas
Heavy Dinner
Walking up three flights of stairs

+

One out of shape lazy-assed gringo

=

Coronary, and no happy ending.
