I've successfully had my fare lowered and received the $100 voucher 3 times with Continental's low fare guarantee.
However, the 3rd time was problematic as the operator insisted she couldn't find the lower fare. After going back and forth, I realized she heard the dates wrong, when corrected everthing worked out fine. Did you try to recreate the price on Orbitz or Expedia yourself?

Yes it won't help much as screen captures are not controlling with Continental, in fact they are expressly excluded:
