I may be looking to do some business here which is proving to be a pain in the butt without being able to speak Spanish.
Wondering if anyone knows any university students/etc that speak fluent English and Spanish that are looking for a summer job.
Job Description:
I basically need someone to translate for me for the whole day, every day. It wouldn't be an extensive amount of translating in the mornings, if at all. I would mainly be looking for someone available from 2PM onwards. If while they are not translating for me, they want to practice English/Spanish with me, that is a huge bonus.
Where:
Well right now I am in San Jose but I may consider other areas to travel to in Costa Rica as well. I may also consider other Central/South American countries. I'm only expecting someone to be available within CR, but if they are available outside CR as well, that's a big bonus.
Pay:
15-30$ a day (is this a fair price? What is more acceptable, 15$, 20$, 25$ or 30$?)
Pay includes free lunch/drinks on days/nights that we are out. For instance, if Tuesday you are 'hired' and with me, translating for me and it's 6 in the afternoon and I am about to eat dinner, I pay dinner for you too. If on Wednesday you are 'hired' and with me at 10PM at night, but you were not with me at 6PM in the afternoon when I ate dinner, I don't send you free dinner, but you do get free drinks while we are out. If on Thursday I don't need you to translate/etc and you are not 'hired' for that day, you don't get paid or free anything.
Prerequisites:
I prefer a student because I feel this is something that best suits them. The job would be in a relaxed atmosphere, they wouldn't have to wear any kind of uniform or anything like that, but it also may not be on a completely consistent basis. Could either be on a daily basis, or weekly basis. (I doubt I am willing to commit to a monthly basis just yet.)
I prefer a tico/local because I'd rather someone that is familiar with the area(s) and can help give me advice (though never mandatory) on Costa Rica, as opposed to a traveling student that may only be here as long as I have been and knows less about CR than me.
I also prefer a younger, student employee because I feel that it is more likely that a young student, fluent in English is more likely to need this kind of work, and be reputable, than an older tico who is fluent in English, who should already have a good translating job and may try to rip me off or rob me.

By Referral: Please only refer someone to me that you know very well, or at very least know is reliable, loyal and trustworthy. I am a pretty nice guy myself, and I could be mistaken but I think it is a great opportunity for a student to get to put their English skills to the test and make some decent money. If I do end up setting up business here, this position may turn into a far larger compensated position than anything they can expect when they are out of University. Of course this is both dependent on their performance and if I end up with a successful business.
With Advice: I'm still pretty new here. Been here 2 months so far. I am 25 years old. Is what I am asking for reasonable? Is the amount I'm willing to pay poor, average, good, or really good? Is what I am looking for easy to find or will I end up with unreliable deadbeats? Is hiring a tico university/etc student seem like the most reasonable candidate for this or should I consider traveling students? Any other advice offered I appreciate.

I am a 25 year old Canadian male. I have been here 2 months so far. Haven't had any problems so far and looking to keep it that way.
I am considering staying here much longer and setting up business. If so, I could REALLY use someone to fit this position. If not, well then nothing gained, nothing lost.
