Just thought I would give an update on Spirit....No problems. I was probably 3 hours early to the airport going there and coming home which might of had something to do with it but no problems...will do it again.

yep - flew out of fll. since I booked the ticket on orbitz the night before, they said I couldn't select a seat and that I had to do it at the airport. So i got there about 3 hours before, went to the line with 3 people ahead of me and got a seat with no problem.

I also only had a carry on so there was no issues with bags

I've had two uneventful flights with Spirit this year, but Delta actually was cheaper for my December trip, not to mention, meals on the international leg of the trip

Yeah Diablo, Spirit is thin on service but so far on my flights the savings have been worth it to me.

They used to have a flight that departed SJO around 12:10am and people were having trouble booking that so that they'd show up to leave and would be informed they actually booked to fly out the previous night not being aware that though they were checking out of their hotel that afternoon they actually had to book that flight for a day later since the departure time was past midnight. It happened to me once but instead of charging me for the change Spirit apparently waived any charges. I actually think it was a good flight because it gave you an extra night almost but gets you back in time for work the next day. If their website would just inform people to make sure they book it correctly I think it was a good option. But for crying out loud, give away some water on the flights.

What kills me about Spirit is the "no cash" policy. I am not going to put a $2 charge on my card. Especially when I have a pair of 1's with me. No thanks. The woman sitting next to me said the processing system charges you an additional $2.50 on your card. Ridiculous.
