Did you like the place? Would you go back? In the past stayed at the Copa, but they now have a 4 night minimum |

I don't think Smelvis has completed his stay yet. We are booked there mid-January. Report will follow from one of us. |

Much nicer and bigger rooms for the money than Copacabana which is right next door. Owner lives on premises (last i knew anyways) and provides extra care and security. Only question now is if they are finished/ing the expansion wing. I think it was supposed to be done by this month for high season, but you might want to ask status and noise factor when you make a reservation. THe owner was very honest with me about that a couple months back when I thought of booking there. That honesty brings repeat customers...and I highly recommend Canciones del Mar. |

Last i knew, there were few restrictions...but i think the owner wants one to respect the other guests as well. you wont find this to be a monger haven...but if you are quiet and respectful...i dont think you'll have any problem having guests with you. its a bit quieter place than the Copacabana next door. Some of us like it that way. |

I was there a week and a half ago. Brought a girl back from Beatle Bar around 11:00. The guard in the parking lot looked at her her ID and that was that. I did notice the next morning when I checked out that they charged me a "guest fee"..I think it might have been $10 but not sure. Anyway--as mentioned in a previous post...still lots of construction on the premises so I left cause of all the moise. Without the construction I'd say it's a fabulous place to stay at. |

Did they look anywhere near finished in construction BOndtrader? They have any statement on when they would be finished? It truly is one of the best secrets in Jaco when in full gear. |

Rumour was as of a week and a half ago when I was there they would be done by Christmas. Personally, I doubt that wil be the case but I could be wrong. What really annoyed me was that the workers were actually banging away with hammers at 6:20 a.m. There was no f*ckin way anyone could sleep after that. At breakfast I saw one guy arguing with the manager and he packed and left right then and there. I left the next day, 2 days ahead of time. I would e-mail Peter @ Canciones and ask him straight up whether they are done with the construction and if not when will they be done. He has always responded to my e-mails promptly. |

THanks. Peter is a standup guy. I hope he gets it dones ASAP so he catches the high season and is rewarded for his investment. He truly has a magnificent location and runs a good business. |
