Started NOv. 30 on Frontier www.frontier.com Denver to San Jose The flight is once a day and is a red eye from Denver, so connecting should pose no problems. Enjoy, Keith

Here's a special that Frontier is running:

Frontier's Leap Year Sale
Inside Costa Rica ( Feb. 27, 2008 )

This week, Frontier Airlines is having a seven-day nationwide sale running through Monday, March 3. Flyers coast-to-coast can take advantage of fares across the United States, Canada, Costa Rica and Mexico as low as $49* each way. Travelers must purchase sale-priced tickets by 9:59 p.m. MST on March 3, 2008, for travel through May 20, 2008.

Along with low fares, Frontier's flyers can enjoy 24 channels of DIRECTV, a choice of four pay-per-view movies and the comfort of traveling aboard one of the youngest fleets in the industry. For a complete list of fares to all of Frontier's destinations, please visit FrontierAirlines.com . Fares are shown each way and roundtrip purchase is required

Some restrictions apply as service to/from Costa Rica may be less than daily. For Costa Rica travel maximum stay is 90 days. All international fares are subject to U.S. arrival and departure taxes and agricultural, immigrations and customs fees of up to $50 round-trip which are not included in the fare amount. For return travel from Costa Rica, fares do not include airport and/or departure taxes of $26, which may be collected by the Costa Rican government.

Here's an update in today's Inside Costa Rica:

Frontier Puts Costa Rica Route On Hiatus
The Denver Post

Frontier Airlines plans to make its Denver-Costa Rica route seasonal instead of year-round. It will stop operating the flights September 4, then resume them December 18.

Frontier spokesman Joe Hodas said the company saw that demand would drop significantly during the rainy season and hurricane season.

Frontier launched the Costa Rica route in November.

This is correct. I was planning on an Oct. tarpon trip and was going to use my frontier miles. I called Frontier and they are going to be seasonal. Love that direct flight and Frontier is one of the best carriers in the US IMHO.
