When you walk out of the airport, do they have a sign with your name on it, or just a Interbus sign? How do you find them? |

There's a guy (usually black guy with grey polo shirt with Interbus logo on chest) with a piece of paper with your name on it. He'll be against the window as you are coming out or may be among the cabbies hanging outside right in front of the windows where the departures/arrivals monitor is located. |

They will wait 1 hour for you if your plane is late. Schedule your pickup 20+/- minutes after your landing time. It will take that long to get through everything anyway and gives you some extra time if your plane is late. Also note the online reservation is on a 24 hour clock - 1 is 1 am. Have fun! |

Yeah, I've been to San Jose twice in the last couple months, so I know the custom stuff. The first time I took a cab, the second time I rented a car, but I didn't spend much time in San Jose, mainly Jaco that trip. This is my first time using Interbus. I figure it is in the same area where they picked me up for the rental car. Thanks for the info. If this interbus works out well, this will be a good means for me to go from the airport to the Gulch. |

How much do you guys usually tip the workers at Interbus. Last time I tipped the driver 2 bucks and the guy waiting outside 2 bucks. |

That's what I usually tip. Even that $10 total, it's still half of what a cab costs ($18+2tip). |

Zebra, Well that depends on your tipping habits. There is one person with the signage and obviously the driver of the van. As for tipping the driver, I always tip 1k colones. The sign guy, if he is there when I walk outside and assists in placing my luggage in the van, yes I flip him 1k colones as well. |

Is there only 1 passenger per interbus, or do they reserve the right to pack in multiple passengers and make multiple stops? |

Yes, you may have a fellow passenger or two. Twice I was solo and on one occasion they stopped at the Morazon Hotel to drop a passenger off |

It's still a good price but Interbus is now $7 (up from $6) each way from the airport to/from San Jose. |

Zebra, All correct info, and I might add, as you get outdoors ask anyone who is hustling the "TAXI" that you are "Interbus" and they took me to the Interbus guy. Just a personal note, I left the SL on tuesday, with a wingman, and hopped on his reservation, still paid my $7 , it was about the same time as I needed to go, and the driver said no problem. Keep in mind you need to book a full 4 days ahead online, you can also call the local phone number or LD_Inter to book less that 4 days out. Also they pick you up at least 4 (four) hours ahead of your flight, and it is a 25-30 minute ride to the airport (or more depends on time of day) . As always YMMV |
