Could you let us know the Dates and How you booked it....I can't seem to find anything less than $300 from South Florida

I got the same $262 flight on Delta out of Detroit-but I bought it in August for this week

There's a ton of fares in the $300 range from WASH/DULLES....good flight times and schedules for many months ahead. Seems TACA got them all lowering there fares.

www.kayak.com works great as well. Prefer it over TRAVELZOO.

Just booked my trip for mid Jan. Cheapest I could find 308.00 from MIA to SJO. And I looked alot.

I booked directly through the Delta website and the fares were about $15 less than the same flights as shown using YahooTravel.

I screwed up my travel dates - you have to be careful; the cells where you enter the dates rest automatically. This ticket is leaving Dec 4 and returing on the 11th.

I can't be gone for a week so I called Delta and explained the issue and they said I could buy a new ticket and then cancel the old one. I have not bought the new ticktet yet but I did check fares for multiple dates and there are lots of options for under $300 with trips in the first half of the month. Incidently, just for fun I priced just the connection RT from ATL to SJO and that was $530 for the same exact flights on the same days. So I can fly from Detroit to ATL to SJO and back of $275 or I can fly from Atlanta to SJO and back on the same plane for almost double the money.

So far this is the only benefit I have found to living in Michigan

I'm flying on Taca from IAD (Dulles near DC) for $270.42 w/ taxes and fees included. Got it directly from their website. Dates: Feb 29 thru March 6. It was a lot less than flying the major airlines or using Expedia or Orbitz. Plus they don't charge extra for a meal.

You must've booked that a few months ago. I've been cehcking Taca and they haven't had any sales (at least out of NY) in at least 3-4 months.

Taca's fares out of Dulles have been in the $250 to $300 range for months. It has caused all the other airlines to drop to that range or slightly higher as well. Dulles is a great place to fly to Costa Rica from.
