![]() ![]() Prolijo has a map? I've always used GR's map... But YES, GPS would be nice when trying to get to the beach and other destinations! It beats the shit out of asking ticos for directions! |

You can purchase it direct from them. This is the reply I received from ezfindercr when I inquired. Quote: Our product is also for sale, and we would be happy to sell it to you.
Do you have a GPS already and want the map alone or are you interested in the entire solution? Our map works on Garmin GPS units and Nokia, Palm, Blackberry and Windows Mobile-based smartphones (through an external GPS with BlueTooth). The price of the map alone is $249 and it comes with one year of free upgrades (I can send it to you through email if you already have a GPS unit). Additionally we offer the following units: Nuvi 200: $595 (includes maps of CR and USA) StreetPilot c530: $499 (includes maps of CR and USA) Mobile 10: $403 (for smartphones; includes maps of CR and USA) GPS 10: $326 (for smartphones; includes map of CR only) Our map has been created through an extensive physical recollection of the roads and thousands of points of interest of Costa Rica. Furthermore, our team of experts and professionals on the road and in-office continuously work to update the map to ensure it continues to be a valuable tool to the user. Currently, the tourist version of our map is being used in more than 4,500 vehicles in the biggest rent-a-car companies of our country such as Avis, Toyota, Budget, National, Europcar, Thrifty, Adobe, Dollar, Sixt, Suzuki, Poas, Mapache and Pura Vida rent-a-car. The full version of our map is the one that is for sale. I will be looking forward to further assisting and hopefully you will soon be enjoying our map. |

It's a little steep on the cost, but... NOT BAD. I think it's something to consider... |

![]() It has very little value to the average monger. For someone who lives here and owns a car who wants to travel around the country it is well worth considering. Costa Rican roads have very little signage and most maps leave a lot to be desired. |

I agree, it's basically useless in town. But driving to beaches and Volcanoes can be a challenge if you listen to Tico directions, or try to follow one of those fabulous maps that they have... I really could have used a GPS on several occasions where I've ended up COMPLETELY lost, and somewhere near a volcano with no idea how to get there. |

I have used the Ezfind map on my Garmin Nuvi and was impressed. The detail was very good. One of the things that I liked was that when my Spanish broke down and/or a cab driver didn't know where a place was I'd switch it to Spanish and it would take him there the quickest way. Fully charged, you have a couple of hours of use without the cord. I like driving in the countryside, just meandering about then having it show me back the the SL with no problem. I also have an older E-trex, and it works OK for what it is, but it has trouble with signals in areas walled in with tall buildings. The one with the most toys wins. |
