I'm making my second trip to Costa Rica of the year and this time I was thinking of heading to Jacó as a change of pace from San José for a day or two. I want to stay pretty flexible with my plans. I know when I'm flying in. I know when I need to be at the airport on the way out, but everything else is open. I may spend 2 nights there. I may get there and decide to turn around and go back to San José. I may look up an amiga from last time and I take her to Tabacón. What I don't want to do is put a deposit down on a room in Jacó or pay for two nights and leave early. So... If I just rolled into town could I get a room at Copabana or a similar place and play it by ear? I know there are no guarantees. I'll be in Costa Rica the week of Thanksgiving. Closer to the dates I may start to firm things up. But from your experience, are reservations required? |
