Post subject:  Sale of the Clarion Hotel and casino
Well it appears that the sale of the Clarion property is back on again. i saw the casino owners (Unell and Nixon) drinking champagne with whom I was told are the new owners of everything. I assume the effect on CRT will be that things will be even better however our beloved leader might want to check in with the new owners when everything is consumated.

That would be excellent news if Nixon is involved as the new owner... He is a great guy and a fun drinking partner...
He's been a huge supporter to CRT in the past and has always been very helpful to me in many ways...

The hotel sale closed a few weeks ago, the casino sale (a separate transaction must have just closed). Nixon is not part of the new ownership group. They are Casino operators from Reno. They seem to be intent on making it much more fun and friendly (the hotel) and should be more attractive to us. In my last conversation with Nixon on the subject, he did not know whether he would be at the Casino moving forward. Unal will not be involved.

The prior hotel owner mismanaged a potentially great property and things would almost have to improve.

Ya know something HolaB? I was kinda wondering the same thing. I haven't seen him post in quite a while. I'll give him a call to see if everything's ok in his world.

I was thinking the same thing, hope our old buddy Iggy is doing well.. Keep us posted MG. He wanted me to stay in touch after the dental work.

Sent him a PM a while ago and never heard back. Hope he is OK.

I just called his cell phone, but his voice mailbox was full. He lives about 45 minutes from me, so I'll stop by his house the next time I'm in his neck of the woods. :wink: I'll let ya know.

Thanks for the update... I was quite surprised to see this thread since Nixon mention in July that the casino was for sale... He mentioned possibly opening a pub...

Everything is Status Quo, I have already been in contact for some time with the parties involoved, they are aware of CRT and welcome us to their hotel & casino.

Regardless of the sale Nixon will still be involved for the at least if not longer near future.
