Hey everyone,

I just wanted to know which hotel/apt has the best internet access (in terms of speed and availability). Currently, I'm looking at the Vista Linda apartments and the Sportsmen Lodge.

How's the internet access at both these places? Feel free to contribute if you used internet at other places.

Thanks in advance.

LaAmistad has a hard line connection in every room. This is one of the many reasons I stay there.. Always on, always very consistent good speeds, for Costa Rica.. :)

Gatorman1122:

the Del Rey has cable connection in every room. When you check in just tell them you have a computer and thay will give you a cable to plug in the wall right next to your telephone. Very good, fast and in my last 10 day stay no interruptions. And by the way no charge.

Zona Blue has high speed wireless, which always works...

Freebird also has high speed wireless which always works...

Freebird's internet is the fastest I've experienced in CR.

I have always had good, consistent wireless access at Amon Plaza. The wireless connection at The Prez was often unreliable.

I have had good wireless service at:

DR before they got hard-wired;
ZB;
Castillo:
SL;
Hemingway - although I was actually getting the Castillo's signal.

Service at the Prez was not reliable in my experience. Several times I could not connect to their nertwork but managed to eek out a signal from the internet cafe just to the north while still in my room.

The Castillo and Morazan were hit or miss for me - depends on which room/floor you get.
