Thats amazing

I am booked on AA to Vegas next month and then returning from LAX. Both flights make a connection at DFW. Total cost $343.00.

How airlines set their fares is a real mystery.

What is amazing is that someone could fly ORD- DFW-SJO rnd trip for $269.00 (dfw-sjo #2167) and I book the same the flight (dfw -sjo rnd trip) for $550

I have written AA customer service via e-mail over a week ago, yet no response  Where is Mendowbrews thread on Favorite Airline?

The thing with AA is real. I found LOTs of availability for ORD-SJO (through either MIA or DFW) for

(wait for it)

$189 r/t plus tax.

HolaB, you should take Southwest or something up to chicago and just leave from here with me. (Nov 28 to Dec 3.)

Due to the "Wright Amendment" I would have to stop in St. Louis etc. another attempt by AA to protect the home turf.

Ouch that just hurts at $189.

I have two options out of Sarasota: Delta to ATL to SJO or AA from either Tampa or Ft. Myers. Somehow I have to get to MIA. My last flight was with Aadvantage miles but the flight before that ran me about $560 :x . With Delta it's about the same. AA has netsaver fares that I get alerts on and they are really in the Last Minute catagory but run around $189.

Next year American Eagle is flying out of SRQ to Miami twice a day so at least I can spare myself the hour's trip either north or south but I can't say that I'm real happy about pricing.

That Wright Amendment is a joke that is costing every one flying out of DFW a small fortune!
