A new tropical storm was named Felix this morning. The projected path has it going over Venezuala Sunday morning then over the Miami air routes on Monday evening and on into Northern Nicaragua/Southern Honduras Tuesday morning. Continues into Belize by Wednesday morning then into Mexico Thursday.
Those with plans to come/go then, watch the weather, look for the airsickness bag and plan for delays/cancellations/longer flights as they detour.
People to/from Dallas and/or Houston might have problems as far as Saturday due to the normal northerly turn they make in Mexico.
Good luck mis amigos...

It is now up to Cat. 3 and has sped up. Forecast says just off northeast Honduras Tuesday morning, Belize on Wednesday morning and over the Mexico and back into the Gulf on Thursday and Friday.

I wouldn't worry too much about it fellas. I've flown from Florida to NY a few times when there's been a hurricane or tropical storm right off mid Atlantic coastline and the plane easily flew around it with minimal turbulence and less than 15 minutes tacked on to the flight time. If you want to talk about scary... I live in South Florida and flew to CR the day the notorious Katrina (a tropical storm at the time) made landfall in Broward County in August '05. Now that was a scary takeoff!! But after less than 5 minutes we were above it and it was smoothe sailing from there. We were one of the last departures before the airport closed!
