By far the best! Expensive, but is amazing what the crew does on a 55 minute flight from Panama to CR...free drinks too (Stock liquor - Stoli, Ron Zapata 15 yr, JW Red...not bad!)

Inside Costa Rica Copa Airlines Wins Fourth Consecutive SkyTrax Award Copa Airlines, subsidiary of Copa Holdings S.A. , has been named best airline in Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean for the fourth consecutive year in a survey conducted by well-known market research company SkyTrax. Copa Airlines also received recognition for "Best Cabin Staff" in Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean. The designation rates the boarding process, drink and food service, and crew enthusiasm and problem-solving efficiency. "We are pleased to receive this award, which once again demonstrates our commitment to our customers and our leadership in the region," said Pedro Heilbron, CEO of Copa Airlines. "This honor is a reflection of the world-class service for which we are known, as well as the efforts of our coworkers who constantly strive for excellence and to offer our passengers the best travel experience possible." The SkyTrax research represents the largest worldwide study of airline passengers, who base their decisions on the quality of the product and service the airlines offer their customers. The study was based on more than 12 million responses of passengers of 94 different nationalities. Copa Airlines is one of the principal passenger airlines in Latin America. Operating from its strategic position at the Hub of the Americas in the Republic of Panama, Copa currently operates 126 daily flights to 40 destinations in 21 countries in North, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. |

Out of JFK if you show up less than 3 hrs before flight leaves, they slap a big fat LATE Arrival sticker on your suitcase and say they can't promise your checked luggage will get on the plane. It's your choice if you still want to check in. For real, you make it to check in line at 2:05 am for a 5:00am flight, the only Copa flight leaving in the next 3 hours (no exageration), and they explicitly tell you there is no promise your luggage gets on the plane and all they can do is take your hotel phone number at your destination so they can try to call you when your luggage arrives, next day, though not guaranteed if next day or not. Doesn't matter if you're Continental platinum or anything. 2 hours and 55 minutes and they may not be able to pull off getting your bag on board. I've never experienced anything like it. It was like text book marketing 101 how do you lose a customer for life |
