Well, I have ONLY stayed at the Morazan (which I really like), and it is fully booked for Labor Day Weekend. I am really looking for a hotel in the same vicinity (walking distance to DR) that is chica friendly and not pricey. It seems the Presidente and SL are popular here. Anything else? (I really want to be in that same vicinity in similar price range). Could you post price and how to go about booking a room also?

Thanks.

It's late (less than 2 weeks) before LD weekend, but there should be some vacancies. Try:

Clarion Amon Plaza which has a $70 rate to CRT VIP's if you book thru Nixon at the casino.

La Amistad also give a nice discount to CRT VIP's. It's a bliock and a half from Sportsman's.

Hotel Castillo is probably booked, but worth a try. Also CRT VIP discount.

Clarion Amon Plaza is booked- I emailed Nixon earlier in week. However, on hotels.com they still have rooms listed. I guess they purchase rooms in blocks? Other than the aforementioned website good luck. I thought I was staying at the Morazan LD weekend but wingman had not book rooms.

Nixon has a limited number of rooms for the casino. I just looked at the Amon Plaza website and there are quite a few rooms available still over the Labor Day weekend. However, they do not come with the CRT discount and a chica fee applies.

Ciaociao

Seems like it will come down to:

Inca Real
Dunn Inn
Europa
Royal Casino
Hotel Doral

Which of these are in the most convenient location to the gulch and are chica friendly? Any input will help.

In my experience forget Royal Dutch Casino Hotel except in an emergency.

Just bad in every way in my stay in 2003. They may have done a turn around.

Not off handhand, but my wingman called the Morazan and was told it was booked for LD weekend. La Amistad is also booked. I ended up (finally) getting a room at the Clarion Amon Plaza but not through Nixon (went to hotel's website as per Ciaociaso's suugestion of llast weekend).
