The Best Western Hotels have decided that they will not allow you to bring a female guest to your room. (See The Tico Times, July 27, 2007). Even though it is legal in Costa Rica the Best Western has decided to impose THEIR MORAL prespective on their guest. So, if you are visiting San Jose and would like to bring a beautiful Chica to your room, you do not want to stay at the Best Western. You are not welcome there. |

I say Good luck with their moral policy...They'll need it... iggy... ![]() The Tico Times article mentions only the Best Western in La Uruca & Jaco. Does anyone know if the Downtown Best Western also has that same policy? Since the BW's are franchised they may or may not have the same owners or same policies. |

The Best western downtown has always been chica friendly and due to its bad location it needs to be. I think Richards doesn't realize this ![]() |

ID: I assumed the thread was talking about the one SJ ... Quote: The Tico Times article mentions only the Best Western in La Uruca & Jaco. Does anyone know if the Downtown Best Western also has that same policy?
Mucho, As far as the Spratt goes, she just feels that she not a Best Western Type of Chica…She would consider the Hotel to be a little on the Cheap side. As for me though, the cheaper the better…as far as the other BW’s in CR. I stayed @ BW’s Irazu and there was no chica fee, and it is a much nicer hotel then the one Down town... iggy... ![]() |

The Best Western Kamuk in Quepos doesn't either. Last summer, the front desk allowed me to bring a guest back to the room after slipping the clerk a 2K note. Unfortunately, that was not the case in January when I returned with a chica and headed for the elevator. Needless to say, this precipitated some unwanted drama in the lobby. |

Pray tell us of the drama. A YouTube view would be nice, too. ![]() |

Someone from management must be reviewing the security tapes. After a heated argument that lasted 5 minutes, I realized the guy was not backing down and the chica was becoming distraught. ![]() ![]() |

I have been able to confirm that the Best Western La Uruca, Jaco, Downtown , Hampton Inn at the airport & the Garden Court Hotel & Casino at the airport are all operated by a company named Grupo Marta. They also operate the 2 Denny's restaurants in Costa Rica. It would seem that if they are anti-sex tourism at La Uruca and Jaco it would be hypocritical to allow it at the Downtown BW. If they do maybe it is one of those Muy Tico things ![]() |

This is a shame, I loved the puddle, I mean pool, at that Best Western. Price was pretty good and they would drive you wherever you wanted to go, Chica's seemed to like it... that was Jan 2006 though, oh well.... |
