Any suggestions as to websites where I could begin to look if I were looking to rent (long-term) or purchase an apartment in the Amon District? Thx. |

Actually, Casa Vino in Barrio Amon is for sale the last I heard. I think it would make a great buy, I love the location. |

IMHO, asking price is a bit high unless planning on living there and waiting out appreciation, last I heard asking price was 175K. |

Yes, I had called in on it a few weeks ago. The asking price is $175,00, but you're buying the house and the business. It's turnkey with management, advertising, website, booking system and clients in place. I'm headed to Euorope for a long term assignment, if not I was all set. It would be great to have a place to stay whenever I vist and then have it rented and producing income the rest of the time, plus then my trips there would have been tax deductable. |

Generally Amon and Ottoya apts are hard to come by. Try LaNacion classifieds (in Spanish). There are never listings for these areas in TicoTimes/AM Costa Rica or Craigslist. I would suggest walking the area with a pen and paper as there are often signs up. BKTUNA I am never going home |
