ok, i really need some help here, goin in august to jaco and cant seem to find a hotel to stay at...after using the "search" feature, alot of the posts are a little old, considering that alot of the hotels went unfriendly from what i understand, and many were/are under construction... so here are my questions, and any help, or comments is well appreciated.. -hotel canciones website says that it is under construction, has anyone been there lately who can tell me how bad it is, and to what extent it may affect the stay? -from later visitors, canciones/club delmar/mariott are they tica friendly? guest charge? thank u much... |

Ive stayed at Club Del Mar.... Its on the south end of Jaco beach... Nice and kinda secluded from the busier parts of the beach... The rooms are fairly new & clean. the staff is very friendly.. But they are NOT CHICA FRIENDLY... Infact Its noted right on your check in that prostitution is not allowed or tolorated... If your going to Jaco to hit the beaches, maybe do some adventures (ATV, ZIP LINE ECT) then I higly recommend the Del Mar... But if mongering is your thing then stay away. |

Big C- I don't know about Canciones, but 2 of the 3 of your choices are not chica friendly |

Why not stay at Copa? Still very chica friendly. I will vote for Canciones, though, for your poll. dapanz1 |

I strongly agree with the Copacabana. Here is their link: http://www.copacabanahotel.com/ Become a member, give me a PM and I'll be happy to share my many experiences there. Also, they give discounts to VIP members, plus with the many, many other discounts in San Jose, you will save money. |

Cocal Hotel & Casino is also pretty nice. We stayed there last year, I liked it. The restauarant has good food at reasonable prices. The off-season rate is like $60-70, and jumps to $115 during the high season. http://www.hotelcocalandcasino.com/ |
