4th Festvities - 7/3 to 7/10 and Labor Day - 8/30 to 9/5

Too bad I already booked both of the above dates for $ 350

I am a Chicago monger and intend to be in Costa Rica for my birthday August 5th -August 10th. What are the best options? I am really wondering if this will be a busy time to get to San Jose. I know that it's the wet season and tourism should be down.
