Hi , I just wanted to run this by some more seasoned travelers in CR I got a quote from Gustavo mendez from costariceonlinetravel.com Something smells funny,Im thinking Tip and gas are not included but ill check .He wanst us to PREPAY before we get there with a credit card and we are wondering what if our plans change its not like the better business buero is there .heres the itinerary : Arrival transfer from the San Jos Airport to the delrey Hotel $20 Transfer from delrey to Los Suenos Marriott (jaco area)$120 Transfer from Los Suenos Marriott to Tabacon Hot Springs $160 Transfer from Tabacon to San Jose $120 Departure transfer from your San Jos=E9 hotel to the Airport $20 thankyou Ill buy you a chica ! |

JG Number One, I would confirm these rates are for 2, these guys tend to play games and forget deals at times. IMHO, there is no need to pay anything in advance, plenty of very reliable drivers available for these routes you can set up in advance via the link I sent you earlier, names, telephone numbers, e-mails, etc. I ALWAYS use Juan Carlos Vega, very honest, reliable. Call him, he speaks good english, has a comfortable van and tell him the rates you were quoted. I have always set things up with him via telephone a few weeks prior to my trips... Take a taxi for the local stuff... For the Jaco trip, rent a car... it's cheaper, and it allows you to do other things... Lets you have a better adventure... |

This was my deal... No Taxi planned..Grabbed an orange taxi and gave them $20 total BY MY CHOICE. Used a PRIVATE van from out front of the delrey to Tabacon for $100 and I bought him lunch BY MY CHOICE. and he brought a cooler of beer. I use him alot so he has got his fair share of EXTRAS. Used a driver from Tabacon back to San Jose for another cien. I Bought him lunch too by my choice. I also gave this guy $20 since I did not know him as a tip. Some of you Experienced boys...This is the off season, does anyone have to plan anything this time of year...I think anyone will drive you anywhere for $100....correct? |

If your staying at the los suenos and tabacon who gives a shit about money. Use Juan Carlos he is great and his website will be up in about 2 more weeks. I used him for my tornado tour. He has 10 brothers he can always hook you up. One of them is the goalie for the 1st division soccer team. he charges about 10 hour for a personal chauffer service. Surfdog |

Heya Silencio it will be www.veg-a-tour.com but it is not up yet He said it would not be working for a couple weeks he took me on the extreme tornado zip line tour and hung out with me all day at the san pedro mall man he is one funny guy lol and he always makes sure you are safe to best of his ability. He might use some pictures I took of my hot gringa beer drinking tornando riding buddy for it though. His brother jose took us to the beach in his private car becuase the clutch in the taxi went out after the ride to Ram luna on my 1st night. Man Im selling all my stuff and going to move down asap I have a good opportunity to aquire 20 acres and im going to take full advantage of it. I will be located just 30 mins from San Jose. Surfdog |
