I known in the past I've had nothing good to say about the Balmoral, based upon past experiences some years ago. But have they changed their attitude?? I was down in April with some friends, yes we stayed at the Presidente. However, one night we decided to eat at the new restaurant in the Balm. While talking to the waiter, he indicated single males were welcome and there was no "impuesto la chica."He also said they have free breakfast buffet that puts the Presidente to shame.
I'd like to TOFT but won't be going back till the fall. Some further investigation is required. Does any body have any recent info?

Unless there has been a policy change there is a significant chica fee and the brekfast buffet ain't that great. It has been written about many times before.

If the breakfast buffet is the one at the new restaurant "The Patio" it is pretty good. Have no idea if they have changed their policy about a chica fee.
