For you guys living in the vicinity of Washington/Dulles, there are reasonable fares showing up on TRAVELOCITY, for travel to San Jose, thru the next year. I booked a JUNE/JULY trip on US AIRWAYS for $430 TOTAL/RT, and while I was at it, booked another trip for JANUARY/FEBRUARY for the same price. It's not a "super low price," but certainly a good one, and the scheduling and time duration of the flights are very good.
