Post subject: | CR Immigration explanation of 30 day/6 month passport rules |
"Immigration spokeswomen Heidi Bonilla told the Tico Times that visitors from Group One and Two countries, meaning those who citizens do not need a consular visa to enter Costa Rica - the United States is in Group One - need passports valid for at least 30 days to enter the country. Citizens from countries Costa Rica has classified in Group Three and Four, who do need visas to enter, must have passports good for at least six months. For a complete list of Immigration's country classifications, see www.migracion.go.cr/visas/directrices.doc" from Tico Times, Friday May 4, 2007 Hopefully this will clear up the confusion on this subject. |
