Yes I've RTFF. Yes I know about Nixon. Yes I've read Iggy's **many** bitches about Amon. I'm planning to visit SJO again in September, coinciding with the CRT party at the SL. I'll be bringing a friend with me. The SL is nearly sold out - only one room left in the old wing. I've had enough of the Felicidad that I'll stay elsewhere instead if I can't get a room in the new wing. I'll also be at the SL June 15 - 25 in the penthouse with another friend (male) and probably my local friend (Jennifer). So after a little research I was able to book two rooms (Junior Suites) on the Choice Hotels website for $70 a night (government discount). That seemed like as good a rate or better than Nixon would provide without all the BS. I've reserved both rooms (one a king n/s and the other a double smoking for my nicotene-addicted friend) showing TWO guests in each. With that ~ and my CRT card in hand ~ am I going to get hit with guest charges? [I'm having a little difficulty in sorting out the status-du-jour at the Amon] Assuming I'm still happy with my little friend from San Jose it's likely she'll simply move in with me for the four nights. My buddy however will likely play round-robin for the duration. Thanks. /Dan D. |

[I'm having a little difficulty in sorting out the status-du-jour at the Amon] from the CRT VIP discount page: Quote: Special room rates are now available for both Standard room rates as well as Jr. Suites. All rates include free breakfast and of course waiver of any guest fee. Please contact Nixon at the email addresses below for a full list of rates and to book a room.
It is my understanding that rooms not booked through the casino are charged guest fees. In your case would assume that if you register your friend a guest fee would not apply to her but would to other guests. Your wingman bringing back diffrent guests each time would most likely be charged the fee. Think you would be better served using the casino to book your room, That way there is no question about guest fees which can add up very quickly. |

The process for VIP'ers at the Amon is exactly the same as for regular guests except that you must get a voucher at the casino prior to checking in (despite what you might have inferred from Iggy's posts). I have done it both ways and unless I were staying at the Amon while conducting legitimate business in CR, I would go through Nixon. I would not assume that Jennifer would be accepted as a legitimate guest at the Amon, unless she checked in with you. Even then, the folks at the desk probably know the working girls by sight, if not by name, and they might call you on that, and add the chica fee each visit. Good luck. You will like the Amon. It isn't SL, but it is a good substitute. Ciaociao |

It is everyone's personal preference where they stay and how they book their particular rooms. It is my understanding, from all the PM's and reports I receive regarding guests at the Amon (Yes I get many from all hotels).... I also do not know what all the B.S. you refer to as aside from one persons dissatisfaction, thousands of rooms have been booked with very little if any problems. If you go through the Regular online bookings, any person female guest not registered to the room as double occupany, will incur Amon Guest Charges of $25.00 per visit. Booked through the Casino with Nixon, there are no such fees. Again, Stay where you want, but those are the facts as they are portrayed to me via our members reports. |
