I booked a room at the presidente for april...they said a junior suite is 125.00 plus tax...and the last two days i was on standby...this was two weeks ago....

a friend asked me to book him a room today as he didnt have internet...they gave him a junior suite for all his days including the ones i was on standby for........they also quoted him 113.00 plus tax

WTF!!! I guess its not any different then here in the states......I called and spoke with the internet manager he was very helpful and confirmed the two missing days and gave me the vip rate 89.00.......even though i am not yet on the list...

You are on the list the only way to get the rates are to be on the list.. Please don't spread rumors.

im just telling the board what he said....he asked if i recently received my card. i said yes... he checked for my last name not my email....he could not find it...i then told him i would produce my card upon arrival...he then said he would confirm me at the vip rate....i am not sure how this is spreading rumors....I am informing members that they have a fluxuation in rates and should check!

I just booked for mid april. I called and they said they did not take reservations over the phone and but said with the CRT discount I could get a spa room for 105 a night (normally 125+tax). The Vip has already paid me back more than membership. From what I have read the presidente does not charge a tica fee but just wants the ticas to look presentable when they get there is that correct? I would have returned to Holiday Inn but at 40 dollars a night for guests seems like robbery.
