Hotel Britania is not chica-friendly. This is from an e-mail I received from them last year as I was planning my trip. The Britania is a very nice boutique hotel with a very good dining room. It is populated by upscale tourists, may of whom are gay. Also upscale, liberal, eco-tourist families. No chicas allowed. |

A friend of mine and I took a quick look at this little hotel in 2004 during my first C.R. trip. The Britannia is indeed very nice...but they made it clear, in no uncertain terms and with a hint of malice that they do not approve of prostitutes and their clients. ![]() Add this to the list of monger/chica-unfriendly hotels in the barrios Amon and Escalante, including the Hotel Don Carlos. Ah well, the "normal" folk need places to stay, too. One hotel that I really wish would relax its zero-tolerance for hookers policy is the Hotel Grano d'Oro. ![]() ![]() Jazzbo...you really *do* dumpster-dive for these old posts, dontcha? ![]() ![]() |
