The SL only has the Jr Suite open in the new wing for a trip I was planning , but rooms in the older section are available, ~ 25 dollars a night less. If anyone has stayed in both, do you think it was worth the difference? I am planning on staying for 7 nights. A search has turned up a lot of info on the Penthouse at the SL, but I haven't seen much on the Jr Suite. |

The rooms in the new wing you just can't beat. New, AC, much more quiet than the old areas. The Penthouse is absolutely the best of them all I think as you will climb up another set of spiraling stairs. The old rooms receive a lot of noise from the courtyard and street for some rooms. The "House" section at the front is not so bad but 2 of the 3 rooms share a bathroom. All the rooms now have AC if you need it, Mini Bar and Fridge, Dish Network TV with just about any channel you could want. 2 new Big Screen TV's have been installed for better viewing. The staff you can't beat either. It is a family atmosphere where everyone knows everyone ! You can bring in as many chicas as you like of course at your own risk and never a fee. The bar area is setup nice but a little cramp for the amount of persons that congregate there but some call it cozy. The location is good as well, off the main driving path which reduces the noise level. ![]() |

I like the new wooden tables and chairs. They look good and are very comfortable (higher off the ground), much more than those tiny, round, glass tables and narrow metal chairs they had before. The new wing rooms are very nice. But I actually like the shared bathroom rooms at $50, best value. The rooms themselves are actually pretty nice. If you have a wingman stay in the other room, you're set. Even staying solo, the bathroom thing was never a problem or inconvenience. |

The old rooms are better than staying any other place. |

Which room is the "Junior Suite?" All the rooms have cute little names rather than room numbers: El Rey, Hermosa (new section), Belleza, Amor, Paz, Tranquilo (old section). I'm be-fused.... ![]() The old Master Suite is also very nice. |

I've stayed in Amor (avoid), Belleza (not bad but very close to the bar), and Hermosa in the new section. I really liked Hermosa... the room is immense, has a bathtub versus just a shower, really nice sitting area... I never felt cramped or claustrophobic. Aside from morning noise from the service entrance near the room, it was very quiet at all hours of day, unless G.R. was cranking the stereo in the penthouse. ![]() ![]() |
