Post subject:  Morazon vs. Castillo

Captmike2007,

Having stayed at Castillo is past week I can give you a review on the property, as for Morazon never stayed but know it's locale.

Castillo honors VIP, based on cash payment. New section, suite $60.00 tx incl. Single $38.00. Property is centrally located for visits to SL, NF, ZB and Amon Plaza. Very quiet, many Crt members lodging here, though brkf lacks of contents, the gathering of fellow mongors for coffee was priceless. The Garden restaurant attached nxt door appears to be picking up, little bar with some pearls to be found. Computer avail., suite was clean, bathroom a little dark, no light over mirror. Laundry service avail and inexpensive.

Morazon, located in the gultch, 1 blk from KL and BM, $38.00 w/coupon out of Tico Times. Gaming downstairs, good soda across the street(La Fleur) have been told rooms are clean.

My dos colones hope it helps.

Castillo is VERY quiet, good front desk customer service, wood floors, no air conditioning, fan in roof, nice pool table to play on, and a bar down stairs. New Fantasy is right down the road, along with Zona Blue. The walk to the Del Rey and BM, is a little risky at night, you have to walk through the maricon's, it isn't bad, just watch your back.

Morazon,
Very convient walk to the Del Rey and BM. Good little casino down stairs. Ok customer service, a nice bar down stairs, a big bar upstairs where a lot of the local ticas/ticos hang out. Nice rooms, carpet, air conditioning and good maid service.

Both are very good, and neither have chica fees. My first trip to Costa Rica? I would probably choose the Morazon.

Super,

One correction in regard to the Castillo :) ...........The rooms in the newer rear section do have air conditioning, though as often as I have been there, I've never felt the need to use it.
