Airfares have not decreased from my area of the country. They are still running on average $650 for a round trip. I recently flew on US Air for $420 round trip. While on the flight US Air offered 25K miles for openning a new Bank of America credit card. The fee is $90 a year for the card but between the flight and the credit card miles it gives me the 35K needed for a round trip flight. So, for the $90 for a round trip I figure its worth openning the card. The same offer is also on the website.

I need a additional 3k skymiles for a free trip on Delta. So, hopefully my next two trip will be cheap using frequent flyer miles.

Thanks for the heads up. I have a frequent flyer account with US airways. I just signed up for the credit card today. It should get me really close to getting a free flight. The only problem with US air is that the return trip to CA takes you to about 3 different airports. But for a free ticket I can't complain
